The Stockholm Municipal Council (Swedish: Stockholms kommunfullmäktige) is the name of the local assembly. Its 101 councillors are elected concurrently with general elections, held at the same time as the elections to the Riksdag and county councils. If the Council functions as Stockholm's parliament, the City Executive Board can be thought of as its “government”.
